What this site collects
This site uses two analytics tools and a contact form processor. Here's what each one does:
Meta Pixel. A small piece of code from Meta (Facebook) that logs page views and browsing behavior on this site. This data helps Meta understand who is visiting so that ads can be shown to similar audiences on Facebook and Instagram. Meta may link this data to your Facebook account if you have one. Meta's data practices are governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.
Rybbit Analytics. A self-hosted analytics tool that records aggregate information about site visits — pages viewed, referrer, browser type, and approximate location (country/region). Rybbit does not collect personally identifiable information and does not share data with third parties. No cookies are set.
Formspree. Contact and newsletter forms on this site are processed by Formspree. When you submit a form, your email address and any message you include are transmitted to Formspree's servers and forwarded to me. Formspree's practices are described in their Privacy Policy.
How your data is used
Analytics data is used to understand how people find this site and which pages are most useful. Contact and newsletter submissions are used only to respond to you or send the occasional update you signed up for.
Your data is never sold. It is not shared with anyone outside of the third-party services listed above, which are used solely to operate the site.
Your choices
Meta Pixel. You can opt out of Meta's interest-based advertising at any time through Meta's Ad Preferences. You can also use browser extensions like uBlock Origin to block the pixel entirely.
Rybbit. Rybbit respects the browser's Do Not Track header. Enabling DNT in your browser settings will prevent Rybbit from recording your visit.
Form data. If you've submitted a contact or newsletter form and would like your email removed, reach out and I'll take care of it promptly.
